Can I bring a friend?
Feel free to bring a friend or a sibling—it’s always nice to having someone come along to make you giggle and to help schlep your gear. I’m all about fun—we’ll keep things relaxed and laid back.
Can I bring props?
Bring props that are meaningful to you. Are you involved in sports, dance, cheerleading, music or other activities? We can work with your uniforms or sports equipment—tennis rackets, soccer balls, pompoms, well-loved dance shoes. We want to make your pictures an expression of who you are right now and these activities are part of your identity. Bring your guitar or violin or trumpet—musical instruments are beautifully made and photograph very nicely.
Do you have a Make-up Artist?
Yes, I have a make-up and hair artist t to provide both for my seniors. The cost is $25 for general make-up, $35 for glamour make-up and $65 for hair.
How long before I see my photos?
If we are doing in studio shoots you can see you photos right away. For on-location shoot, we can come back to the studio to view the shots we took. This way you can rate your favorite poses. About two weeks after your portrait session, we’ll meet again to view your final proofs. These will be your favorite shoots color corrected, cropped and touched up to make you look your best. We will start by showing you a slideshow set to music. It’s like you’re starring in your own rock video! After the slideshow we will explain the packages, and answer any questions you may have. If you place your order within 3 days of your viewing appointment, you can take 10% off your print order of 8x10 and smaller.
What should I wear?
The simple answer is wear what makes you feel good and feel most like yourself. You should usually avoid busy patterns such as clothes with writing across the chest, bright white, creamy white and strong red are good colors. But, sometimes it’s fun to break all the rules and wear that wild shirt or your most favorite blue sweater and that’s ok.

Bring lots of clothes to choose from—that way we have a lot to work with for mixing and matching. We probably won’t be able to use everything, though.

Get creative! Bring hats, cool shoes, boots, jackets, jewelry, scarves—you name it! Got an awesome prom dress? Feel free to bring that, too. I love a good prom dress in a grungy location—it’s fun and unexpected. If you’re unsure about something, bring it anyway.

Don’t cut your hair right before pictures. Plan your session at least 2-3 weeks after a hair cut to give your hair a chance to grow into its new style.
Where should we go to take pictures?
For seniors on a budget we can do all in studio shoots. For those on a larger budget we can shoot on-location such as parks, downtown, on Grandpa’s farm, your favorite hang out spot, or even your own backyard. The location is all up to you or we can suggest some locations.
